Meet Heather Hunter, a wonderful person and house cleaner

"I started doing what I'm doing 8 years ago with a Senior Services agency providing home support services for seniors. I loved it so much that I started taking on private clients from referrals and despite some setbacks due to Covid I continue to provide cleaning services wherever I'm needed. I'm also a great cook and started what I call Soup for Seniors, bringing healthy soups to my clients, free of charge, which has been received with much appreciation. I usually work alone but have backup help for bigger or time sensitive jobs. I charge 30/hour, provide all cleaning supplies and am quite flexible time wise but try to avoid weekends if possible. My email address is I hope this information helps and I look forward to being of some assistance to you and your clients."Thank you!

Do you have household furniture and possessions that you need to get rid of but don't want to put in the landfill?

Contact Urban Repurpose, a non-profit organization in North Vancouver

(604) 990-5576
493 Mountain Hwy,
North Vancouver, British Columbia

"We raise money in our Urban Repurpose thrift store selling collected and donated materials received from manufacturers, homes, businesses and deconstruction.

We provide home owners and businesses extraction and donation as options for valued materials like windows, doors, lighting and cabinets prior to demolition as an alternative to paying for disposal in landfill.

We are working towards a closed loop economic and creative structure where usable older materials retain value and remain available for sale. Harder to reuse items are transformed through processing and upcycling"

Another great cause to donate items is the United Church Seymour Thrift Shop

  • We provide high quality, affordable goods to our community.
  • We reuse, redistribute and recycle, helping lighten the load on our planet.
  • We give $20,000 annually to First United Church in the Downtown Eastside, with the rest of the revenue supporting the operating costs of Mount Seymour United Church.
  • We have a lot of fun and meet new friends in a caring community
